Githambo Tea Factory was built in 1977 to serve 8,349 tea growers, with a potential of 1,536.19 hectares of land to produce the following tea clones; SFS 150, 31/8, 6/8, 303/577. Githambo Tea Factory is located in the Northern ridges of Murang’a, Kahuro Division, Murarandia Sub-location, Mukumu village.

The Githambo Tea Factory was built in 1977 to serve 8,349 tea growers, with a potential of 1,536.19 hectares of land.
WHERE
Githambo is located in the Northern Ridges of Murang’a, Kahuro Division, Murarandia Sub-location, Mukumu village.
It borders Kigumo Division to the South and shares part of Kangema Division to the west. The Factory is 63 kilometers off the Nairobi – Nyeri Highway at Kenol Junction and 35 kilometers from Murang’a Town.
